1905 beaded silk, velvet and lace dress. Designed & created by German designer Gustave Beer.
Gustav Beer, born in Germany, opened his fashion house in Paris in 1905. He also established branches at Nice and Monte Carlo. Under his concept of "conservative elegance for conservative clients," he introduced elegant dresses that were luxuriously manufactured down to the finest details.

I have my grandmothers flapper dress from the 20’s which is on chiffon and all hand beaded and it amazes me how heavy it is. Couldn’t imagine dancing in it for hours!
The dresses from the 1800 were so beautiful. Classy and made with great skill. I have made a couple for re-enactments I use to do. Wanted to throw the machine across the room!. All my lack of ability, needed to keep practicing. Esp with men's vest. The pleats! Not my best . But looked awesome when finished.
Stunning ✨
